That's exactly what this should end up being. The action on Sunday is likely to be quite slow but hard-hitting. Big Show is at his best in intense brawls. It comes after Ryback hit Big Show with Shell Shocked when a Miz TV segment turned violent. Big Show challenged Ryback on the night after he won the title, saying that he deserves a shot at the gold over a guy like The Miz. There's not a wealth of story to work with here. After being the guy whom Brock Lesnar ran over and Reigns overcame, he looks to be Ryback's chance to catapult himself forward. WWE hasn't treated Big Show like a star lately, though. Ryback's first challenge as IC champ will be a huge one, at least in terms of the size of his opponent. With Kingston busy going for the Money in the Bank briefcase, it will be Xavier Woods and Big E who represent the trio here. It also has ample athleticism on tap to make for an entertaining bout. This match promises to be another showcase for its members' improving personas. The New Day, meanwhile, has been growing into its heel role, becoming more adept at being obnoxious. WWE clearly made an effort to make them look strong, having them knock off The Ascension as well as Tyson Kidd and Cesaro. Titus O'Neil and Darren Young followed that up by beating The Ascension and The Lucha Dragons on SmackDown.Īnd just like that, a team that was barely making it to TV is in title contention.
